University of Nova Gorica is offering the position of assistant in the field of chemisty.

We invite applications from candidates interested in energy storage. The successful candidate will be directly involved in research work in the field of electrochemical capacitors based on transition metal hydroxides and oxides in Materials Research Laboratory.

As part of their employment, the candidate will work towards attaining a PhD degree as a student in the University of Nova Gorica’s 3rd-cycle (doctoral) study program Materials (Third level) at the Graduate School of the University of Nova Gorica.
In accordance with their appointment, the successful candidate will also take on teaching duties in the field of chemistry in selected study programmes at the university.

The employment is offered for full-time working hours over a fixed term of one year.
The successful candidate should satisfy the following requirements: * Master's (2nd-cycle) degree or equivalent in the field of materials, chemistry or physics, * requirements for election to the title of “Assistant” at the University of Nova Gorica, * enrolment in the 3rd-cycle program in Materials (Third level) at the Graduate School of the University of Nova Gorica. in the 2021/22 academic year by the employment start date, * good command of Slovene, * good command of English.

Desired competences and skills: * knowledge of the synthesis of inorganic materials, * knowledge of electrochemical techniques.
