University of Nova Gorica taking part in the Education and Career Fair
The fair will take place on 22 and 23 January 2015, from 9:00 to 18:00 at Gospodarsko razstavišče in Ljubljana. The event is an excellent opportunity for you to learn about educational programmes available in Slovenia and abroad.
At the fair, the University of Nova Gorica (UNG) will present its study programmes of all three levels. All UNG schools will thus take part in the fair – the School of Environmental Sciences, the School of Engineering and Management, the School of Science, the School of Humanities, the School for Viticulture and Enology, the School of Arts, and the Graduate School.
Come to the fair and learn about our study programmes, advantages of studying at UNG, about accommodation and student exchange possibilities, and specially tailored modes of study for students athletes.
Moreover, various experiments and practical demonstrations will also take place. Through an experiment the students of Environmental Sciences will show you how to detect various contaminants in the environment and present certain organisms whose behaviour helps us determine water purity. Students of Engineering and Management, and Physics and Astrophysics will display their unique Lego robot, able to solve the Rubik’s Cube. The students of Viticulture and Enology will take you to the world of enchanting aromas and invite you to test your sensory skills, while the students of Digital Arts and Practices have prepared an animation workshop and the prize game “best photo like”.
As a result of the latest revision of the 1st and 2nd-level study programmes Physics and Astrophysics, we will present you the ever-interesting field of astrophysics and offer you an insight of the space through the lecture “Space monsters − about black holes and gamma-ray bursts”.
